Norway has submitted its seventh periodic report to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
In the periodic report, Norway provides an account of the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). The report covers the period between 2020 and 1 May 2025.
The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) is mandated to monitor implementation by the state parties of the ICESCR. The Covenant was ratified by Norway in 1972.
State parties submit periodic reports approximately every five years. A subsequent oral hearing is held in Geneva. The date for this hearing has not yet been set.
